Frangipani can be grown as house or conservatory plants in temperate areas such as the UK. Grow Plumeria in pots or containers, in the house, conservatory or greenhouse border. Use containers with good drainage and an open, free draining growing medium, such as John Innes No.2, with extra grit or sharp sand. Give plants a bright position and water from spring to autumn, when the plant is dry. Minimum winter temperatures should be 15°C. Winter carekeep dry in winter with an airy, dry atmosphere.

Plumeria is not suitable for growing outside in the UK, but it makes an excellent house plant and works well in conservatories. Plumeria grows best in a good-sized, sturdy pot, using soil-based compost such as John Innes no 2 with added coarse grit or perlite to ensure sharp drainage. Choose a well-lit position with a minimum temperature of 10°C. Given an unrestricted root run in a conservatory or greenhouse border, plants may attain several metres in height, but a container will restrict the ultimate plant size. If you're planting Plumeria in a conservatory or greenhouse border, make sure temperatures remain above 15oC throughout the year.
